This blog has been a long time in the making - partly due to lack of time, and partly due to a lack of a clear vision as to what I wanted it to be.

Hong Kong is my home and has been since 1997 - a pivotal year in its history, and one from which in my mind Hong Kong has grow and matured socially, culturally and economically.

Being fortunate enough to speak Cantonese and Mandarin, the sites and sounds of Hong Kong have the ability to amaze me on so many different levels day in and day out. On these pages it is my intention to post as often or as infrequently as the fragrant harbour throws something interesting my way, but as I begin this journal, this log of social history, I thought it right we should look back to Hong Kong from decades past.
